At matriculation, eligible doctoral scholars are formally inducted into The Gold Coast Society of Doctoral Fellows and become known as Gold Coast Doctoral Fellows.

Matriculation admits you to the University. Induction welcomes you to the Fellowship.
The University of Gold Coast PhD Matriculation Ceremony marks the formal beginning of your doctoral journey and your entrance into the Society.
During this dignified academic occasion, eligible scholars will be:
- 1Formally welcomed into the University’s doctoral community.
- 2Inducted into The Gold Coast Society of Doctoral Fellows.
- 3Invited to affirm the Doctoral Fellows’ pledge.
- 4Entered into the official membership register.
- 5Presented with a Certificate of Enrolment from the University.
- 6Presented with a Certificate of Membership in the Society.

By the authority of the University of Gold Coast, and upon your matriculation as doctoral scholars, I hereby induct you as members of The Gold Coast Society of Doctoral Fellows.
You shall be known as Gold Coast Doctoral Fellows and shall uphold the values of scholarship, integrity, leadership and service throughout your doctoral journey.
