The Bishop Titi-Ofei Doctoral Fellowship

Check your eligibility

Answer six short questions to see how you stand against the minimum eligibility criteria. This check is for your guidance only. It does not form part of your application and does not prevent you from applying.

  1. 01

I will be 40 years old or younger at the application closing date.

Age is measured at the closing date of the current application round, not the date you apply.

  2. 02

I hold a First Class bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

A First Class bachelor's degree is a core requirement. A Second Class Upper does not meet the minimum.

  3. 03

I hold an MPhil or an equivalent research master's degree from a recognised university.

A taught master's (including most MBAs) qualifies only if the University accepts it as an equivalent research master's degree with adequate preparation for doctoral research.

  4. 04

My qualifications and proposed research are relevant to business administration, management or a closely related discipline.

Related fields include accounting, finance, economics, HRM, marketing, communications, leadership, governance, strategy, entrepreneurship, public administration and public policy. Other disciplines may be considered where the proposed research has a strong business, management, leadership or governance focus.

  5. 05

I am a committed Christian and I am actively involved in a recognised church or Christian ministry.

This Fellowship is designed for committed Christians with a credible testimony and active church or ministry involvement. A pastoral reference and pastoral confirmation letter are required.

  6. 06

I accept, in principle, the Doctoral Teaching Fellowship (minimum 12 hours weekly) and the five-year post-completion service bond.

Every Fellow serves as a Doctoral Teaching Fellow during the three-year Fellowship and enters a binding agreement to serve the University for at least five years after completing the PhD. Independent legal advice is required before signing the Service Bond Agreement.
